As 2006 approaches and this publication enters its ninth year, the excitement grows over recent and upcoming changes. Over the last twelve months, we've added a new web site, with visitors increasing in steady numbers. New equipment has been purchased in anticipation of increased circulation throughout Gila county with more equipment upgrades planned for 2006. In order to accommodate all this increased growth, Tonto Basin News will move into new office facilities in Globe in early February. The additional space will allow easier access not only to this publication, but to printing and real estate offices as well. More details will be given in the next issue, which hits the streets on December 21. Stay tuned! Speaking of new and exciting changes, Boston's Lake House Grill, opens here in Roosevelt in January 2006. Residents and visitors alike can expect pleasant surprises with the new eatery. The new restaurant logo is featured in this issue, and more details will be revealed in the next edition. Our feature story again finds Arizona's current governor, Janet Napolitano in the news. The article discusses her involvement in the case of a 14-year-old girl who aborted a 7-month-old fetus. Constituents should have as many facts as possible upon which to base their voting decision in next year's election. Christmas displays are starting to pop up around Roosevelt.
