"I am pleased with the direction our campaign is heading. "At this point two years ago, we were ahead of Paul Babbit by 11 points, and beat him on Election Day by 23 points. "Today, we are 13 points ahead of liberal ACLU trial attorney Ellen Simon, and our campaign hasn't even begun. "With miserable numbers like these, I expect Simon's campaign to get increasingly ugly and desperate in the coming weeks."
