Arizona's own headlines concert following D-backs' game against Royals June 14 Fans can earn free tickets by purchasing Miller Lite or MGD at Fry's Food & Drug Stores PHOENIX -- After playing to a large and enthusiastic crowd following an Arizona Diamondbacks game last season, the D-backs announced today that they are teaming up with Miller Brewing Company, Fry's Food & Drug Stores, 93.3 KDKB and The Edge 103.9 to bring back Arizona's own Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers to perform a post-game concert on June 14 at Chase Field. The post-game concert will take place on the field following the 5:10 p.m. game against the Kansas City Royals. The concert is free with a ticket to that night's game. Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are a searing rock and roll foursome that have achieved independent recording success and fierce fan loyalty. The band is fronted by Roger Clyne and includes drummer P.H. Naffah, lead guitarist Steve Larson and bassist Nick Scropos. They are one of the most popular touring bands today and their music is praised by critics nationwide with every album release. The Peacemakers are the only independent band to debut in the Top 10 of Billboard's Internet Sales chart with six consecutive albums, including two No. 1 entries. The band released their latest album, Turbo Ocho, earlier this year. Clyne and Naffah enjoyed an accomplished stint with The Refreshments, a late 1990s rock band whose cult-classic album Fizzy Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy produced the hit singles "Banditos" and "Down Together." Clyne wrote the twangy theme song for Fox's animated hit, King of The Hill and it is his and The Refreshments' performance of the song that is heard on the program's opening credits. The group eventually disbanded and Clyne and Naffah established Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers in 1998. The D-backs also chose Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers last season to create "D-backs Swing," a feet-stomping and hand clapping anthem that was played at every game at Chase Field starting last September during the club's march for the National League West Division championship and run throughout the playoffs. The D-backs currently play "D-backs Swing" after every win at Chase Field this season. FSN Arizona will also include the "D-backs Swing" song in all of their 15- and 30-second commercial spots that promote upcoming D-backs games on the network starting today for the remainder of the season. Fans can receive a complimentary upper level ticket to the D-backs' June 14 game by purchasing Miller Lite or MGD 18-pack or larger bottles or cans at any Fry's Food & Drug Stores throughout Arizona and then redeem the ticket voucher on their cash register receipt. All ticket vouchers must be redeemed at the Chase Field ticket office or Tucson Electric Park ticket office. Members already enrolled in the Fry's D-backs Rewards program can redeem points to earn on-field VIP seating as well as a chance to meet Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers prior to the concert. Fans listening to 93.3 KDKB and The Edge 103.9 can also win complimentary tickets to the game and passes to meet the band. In addition, tickets can be purchased at the Chase Field ticket office, by calling 602.514.8400 or online at dbacks.com.
