Big names and bright lights featured at 18-day Fair; reserved concert seats on sale Sat., Sept. 17
Phoenix The star wattage is heating up this years State Fair concert schedule! The 2011 Fair Concert Series line-up features artists from a wide variety of musical genres, including country, rock, heavy metal, hip hop, and pop. Country music stars Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, and The Band Perry, are slated to perform.
Big name rock artists and bands, including Bret Michaels, Billy Idol, 3 Doors Down, and heavy metal pioneers, Judas Priest will rock out in Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Additional performers include hip hop king Snoop Dogg and pop music stars, Big Time Rush. Old School Jam will return with high energy performances by Stevie B., Lisa Lisa, Debbie Deb, Tone Loc, and Young MC. With this much star power in such a diverse line-up, the Coliseum is sure to be packed with excitement throughout the Fairs run.
General admission seating at the concerts is free with Fair admission on a first- come, first-served basis the day of the show.
Reserved seat tickets may be purchased beginning September 17, 2011 through Ticketmaster at 1.800.745.3000 or ticketmaster.com and the Coliseum Box Office (walk-up only.) Reserved seat tickets do require the purchase of a separate Fair admission. Reserved seat prices below do not include the admission.

¢ Trace Adkins presented by BC Powder Sat., Oct. 15 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $20
After his platinum country music debut more than a decade ago, Trace Adkins has reached superstar status with his rich baritone voice, insightful music and hard driving stage shows.
¢ Billy Idol with Steve Stevens Sun., Oct. 16 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $15
Considered the original punk rocker, Billy Idol is known for his sneering punk attitude and bravado. This combination, along with his high energy rock style and thirty year collaboration with guitar genius Steve Stevens, have helped him carve out a niche in the pop and rock mainstream.
¢ The Band Perry Wed., Oct. 19 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $15
Nashville newbies and siblings Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry of The Band Perry are making their mark in country music. After winning this years Academy of Country Music's "New Artist of the Year award, The Band Perry continues to receive awards and accolades as they play their brand of country rock.

Performing for nearly two decades, rapper, actor and charismatic personality Snoop Dogg has established himself a hip-hop icon and performer extraordinaire.

Judas Priest, the ultimate heavy metal band, has aptly named their final world tour, Epitaph. The band has rocked audiences for nearly forty years and is considered one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time

¢ 3 Doors Down Wed., Oct. 26 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $20
3Doors Down has been running full throttle since their 2000 debut album, and record breaking single, KryptoniteÂÂÂ. Their music has been described as modern rock, alternative rock, pop/rock, and pop/metal, but band members prefer to call it no-frills American rockÂÂÂ.
¢ Darius Rucker Thurs. Oct. 27 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $15
Many people know him as lead singer of the popular band, Hootie and the Blowfish, but Darius Rucker has forged a new country music path. He has received rave reviews from fans and critics, including Rolling Stone which said, On his Nashville debut, Ruckers rich baritone, sentimental ballads and bright hooks made him the most successful African-American country singer since Charley Pride.ÂÂÂ
¢ Bret Michaels Get Your Rock On Tour Fri., Oct. 28 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $15
Rock star, reality TV celebrity, spokesman, and Poison frontman Bret Michaels has unbridled energy and the Midas touch. Currently on his solo Get Your Rock On Tour, Michaels continues to wow audiences with his unique brand of rock and roll.
¢ Arizona Derby Dames Sun., Oct. 30 at 5:00 pm, FREE general admission seating only (no reserved tickets required/available)
One of the worlds largest and fastest growing all-girl roller derby leagues, The Arizona Derby Dames is currently one of only seven modern all-girl banked track roller derby leagues in the world. Banked track roller derby delivers fans higher speeds, more daring moves, more dangerous action and faster paced games.
¢ Sublime with Rome Thurs., Nov. 3 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $20
Sublime with Rome teams up Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh of ska-punk band Sublime and vocalist/guitarist Rome Ramirez. Collaborating since 2009, the trio released their debut album, Yours Truly, this summer.

Featuring performances by Stevie B., Tone Loc, Lisa Lisa, Debbie Deb, and Young MC
Stevie B. is perhaps best-known for his 1990 number-one hits "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." plus Party Your Body and Spring Love.
Lisa Lisa is not only a freestyle star but a pop icon as well with her huge ballad "All Cried Out", and her pop cross over hit "Can You Feel the Beat".
Debbie Deb's two biggest hits "When I Hear Music" and "Lookout Weekend" have been in numerous movies and are on numerous radio stations.
Tone LMc is best known for his deep, gravelly voice and his million-selling hit singles, "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina".
Young MC is an English-born American rapper and is best known for his 1989 hit "Bust a Move".
¢ Big Time Rush Sat., Nov. 5 at 7:00 pm, Reserved Seating $20
Fresh from their Nickelodeon hit television series, Big Time Rush is taking their act on the road. The foursome, Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena and Logan Henderson, has sold nearly 900,000 combined digital singles to date and recently launched their first album, BTR, which taps into such genres as pop, R&B, rock and dance.

The 127th annual Arizona State Fair, running from October 14 to November 6 (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), hosts a variety of fun-filled attractions, activities and rides for all ages at its traditional location at 19th Avenue and McDowell Road in Phoenix.
